Stegall Family Portrait Session: Walnut Grove Park and Zorinsky Lake

On November 2, 2025, I met the Stegall family for a beautiful fall portrait session that took us through Walnut Grove Park and Zorinsky Lake in Omaha. With seven people total, the session brought together multiple generations and personalities—making for a day full of laughter, connection, and authentic family moments.

We began at Walnut Grove, where the trees were still showing off their last bursts of autumn color. The warm tones and soft afternoon light set the stage perfectly for relaxed group portraits and smaller family pairings. From there, we moved to Zorinsky Lake to catch the golden-hour glow reflecting off the water. The calm setting offered a beautiful contrast to the lively energy of the group.

This session stood out because of how natural everyone was together. Despite life’s changes, there was an unmistakable sense of care and togetherness that came through in every frame. Whether it was the kids running ahead on the trail or the quiet, candid moments between the adults, the images tell a story of family connection and shared memories.

Walnut Grove and Zorinsky Lake are two of my favorite Omaha locations for fall portraits—they offer so much variety in scenery and light. This session captured both the beauty of the season and the lasting bonds of family.
